| Opal Palmer Adisa, Ph.D, is writer of both poetry and prose, Adisa is an educator and cultural activist, as well as a photographer, playwright and theatre director. Adisa has lectured and read her work throughout the Caribbean, United States, South Africa, East and West Africa as well as throughout Europe. An award-winning poet and prose writer, Adisa has more than twenty titles to her credit Her work has been reviewed by Ishmael Reed, Al Young, and Alice Walker (Color Purple) who described her work as “solid, visceral, important stories written with integrity and love.” Her poetry, stories, essays, and articles have been collected in over 400 journals, anthologies and other publications, including Essence Magazine. Heidi Fagerberg
| Heidi holds degrees in Early Childhood Development, Education and Human Services. She was born and raised in Irvington, New York. She has since lived in Delaware, Costa Rica and now has her home on St Kitts, a small island in the Caribbean. Currently she is working on additional books and developing project based curriculum for the Living the Beach Life series. Throughout her life Heidi has been dedicated to caring for and educating the young and old alike. In 2008, she founded the St. Kitts Sailing School and during the time that the school was in operation she interacted with and cared for the characters in her books. She has taken a keen interest in orphaned animals and has adopted some of her own. Her love of photography and writing was rekindled by the beautiful Island on which she lives and the animals she loves. This has led her to the creation of the series – Living the Beach Life.

| Juleus Ghunta is a Jamaican poet, motivational speaker, and recipient of a Chevening Scholarship. He is pursuing MA Peace Studies at the University of Bradford, UK. In 2010, he earned a BA in Media from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Ghunta’s poetry has appeared in several journals including The Missing Slate, Moko, Spillway, Easy Street, Chiron Review, Pittsburgh Poetry Review, and has been anthologised in Cordite 81: New Caribbean Writing and In This Breadfruit Kingdom. My children and I are embarking on a project in 2015, “Around the World in 180 books”. This is the follow-on from this year’s project, “Around the World in 180 postcards”. We are desperate for help with sourcing books, written by natives, who preferably are still resident in their home country. They need to be suitable for a girl aged 6 and/or a boy aged 10. We are also happy to include books on the strength of their illustrator only. They do need to be books that have been translated into English. Recommendations from St Kitts and her neighbours much needed. You welcome to look up our current list at our blog.

Hi Kenicia, Unfortunately we only ship books we publish. This book was published by Jamaica Publishing House. I don’t know if that company is still in existence but it is listed in the yellow pages. Perhaps if you reach out to Blue Banyan Books which is in Jamaica, they may be able to give you more information.
